# Company Dossier

> Get a company's identifiers, identity, locations, operations, licences, court cases, regulatory results, key people, news and written summary.

One call that answers "who is this company?": its identifiers, identity, locations, operations and size, licences and registrations, court cases, regulatory results, key people, recent news and a written summary, each section with its state and sources and each entry tied to the company by an identifier. Key people (name, title, work email) are included unless include\_people is false. Give the name and at least one of domain, address or state; add the USDOT number for a motor carrier. Runs for up to 15 minutes and answers with a request id to poll. Paid per call at one fixed price.

## How it runs

The call runs a goal behind the scenes. The goal may use only these tools: `company_contractor_license`, `company_environmental_compliance`, `company_federal_awards`, `company_find`, `company_legal_identifier`, `company_motor_carrier`, `company_profile`, `company_sanctions`, `person_email`, `person_email_status`, `person_find`, `person_profile`, `place_resolve`, `record_court_cases_find`, `research`, `web_read`, `web_search`. It spends at most a fixed budget of its own, never yours, and stops after 15 minutes. You pay the quoted price once.

1. Call the route. The answer is `402` with a quote of the fixed price (`context.quote_id`).
2. Pay, and send the same body again with the `X-Quote-ID` header. The answer is `202` with a `request_id`.
3. Poll `GET /v1/requests/{request_id}` until `status` is `completed` or `failed`.

## Authentication

Requires x402 payment in the `payment-signature` header on the paid call.

## Request Body

**name** `string` *required*

The company name.

**domain** `string`

The company website domain. Give at least one of domain, address or state.

**address** `string`

A street address of the company. Give at least one of domain, address or state.

**state** `string`

Two-letter US state the company is in or formed in. Give at least one of domain, address or state.

**dot\_number** `string`

USDOT number, digits only, for a motor carrier.

**include\_people** `boolean`

Key people (name, title, work email) are included unless this is false. Defaults to `true`.

<Snippet file="audit-context-params.mdx" />

## Response (202 Accepted)

**request\_id** `string`

The request to poll at `/v1/requests/{request_id}`.

**receipt\_id** `string`

The receipt of the call. Once the request ends it lists every step the goal ran: the tool, its `call_id`, when it ran and what it cost.

## Result

Nested under `data.result` of `GET /v1/requests/{request_id}`.

**data.result.partial** `boolean`

`false` for a complete result. `true` when the goal reached its deadline or its budget first: the result is the best valid one it submitted.

**data.result.end\_reason** `string`

Why the goal ended: `check_passed` for a complete result, otherwise `deadline_passed`, `budget_exhausted`, `check_failed` or `planner_failed`.

**data.result.result.identifiers** `object`

The company's identifiers. State: found when one company was resolved, ambiguous when more than one plausible company matched (every other section is then none), unavailable when resolution could not run.

**data.result.result.identity** `object`

Who the company is. State: found when the section has entries, none when the lookups ran and found nothing, unavailable when they could not run.

**data.result.result.locations** `object`

Where it is. Each entry lists in matched\_on what ties it to the company. State: found when the section has entries, none when the lookups ran and found nothing, unavailable when they could not run.

**data.result.result.operations** `object`

What it does and how big it is. State: found when the section has entries, none when the lookups ran and found nothing, unavailable when they could not run.

**data.result.result.licences\_and\_registrations** `object`

Licences and registrations it holds. Resolved identifiers are added automatically. Each entry lists in matched\_on what ties it to the company. State: found when the section has entries, none when the lookups ran and found nothing, unavailable when they could not run.

**data.result.result.legal** `object`

Court cases naming it. Each entry lists in matched\_on what ties it to the company. State: found when the section has entries, none when the lookups ran and found nothing, unavailable when they could not run.

**data.result.result.regulatory** `object`

Environmental compliance, safety rating and sanctions results. Each entry lists in matched\_on what ties it to the company. State: found when the section has entries, none when the lookups ran and found nothing, unavailable when they could not run.

**data.result.result.people** `object`

Key people, the most senior first, with their work email. Left out when include\_people is false. Each entry lists in matched\_on what ties it to the company. State: found when the section has entries, none when the lookups ran and found nothing, unavailable when they could not run.

**data.result.result.news** `object`

Recent news about it. Each entry lists in matched\_on what ties it to the company. State: found when the section has entries, none when the lookups ran and found nothing, unavailable when they could not run.

**data.result.result.summary** `string`

A few sentences written only from the sections whose state is found.

Every section has a `state`: `found` when it has entries, `none` when the lookups ran and found nothing, `unavailable` when they could not run. A found section lists its `sources`: the source id of each lookup (the `call_id` of its step on the request's receipt), or the URL of each page read. A section without a source has no entries, and a source the goal did not run, or a page it did not read, is refused.

> [!NOTE]

> See [Pricing](https://docs.oneshotagent.com/pricing.md) for this tool's price. The 402 quote states it before anything is charged.

## Notes

* A goal that ends with no valid result fails the request with `error_code` `no_result`, and the price is returned as credits.
* The goal is internal: it is not listed among your goals, and you cannot fund, pause or read it.
