# Hail and Wind Reports

> List the hail, damaging wind and tornado reports filed near a US point or in a state in the last 24, 48 or 72 hours.

Lists the hail, damaging wind and tornado reports US National Weather Service offices filed in the last 24, 48 or 72 hours near a latitude and longitude or in a state, newest first: size or speed, time, place, office and remarks. Reports are preliminary and unverified and may repeat one event. Older reports are not kept; use Storm Events.

## Authentication

Requires x402 payment in the `payment-signature` header.

## Request Body

**latitude** `number`

Latitude in decimal degrees, for example 35.687. From 17 to 72.

Category.

**data.result.reports\[].reported\_at** `string`

ISO 8601, UTC.

**data.result.reports\[].magnitude** `number | null`

Hail size or wind speed; null when the report carries none.

**data.result.reports\[].magnitude\_units** `string | null`

inch or mph. `null` when the source gives no value.

**data.result.reports\[].location** `string | null`

The source's short place text, for example 3 SW Santa Fe. `null` when the source gives no value.

**data.result.reports\[].state** `string | null`

State. `null` when the source gives no value.

**data.result.reports\[].latitude** `number | null`

Latitude. `null` when the source gives no value.

**data.result.reports\[].longitude** `number | null`

Longitude. `null` when the source gives no value.

**data.result.reports\[].office** `string | null`

The forecast office that filed it, for example Albuquerque NM. `null` when the source gives no value.

**data.result.reports\[].office\_id** `string | null`

The office code, for example ABQ. `null` when the source gives no value.

**data.result.reports\[].remarks** `string | null`

Remarks. `null` when the source gives no value.

> See [Pricing](https://docs.oneshotagent.com/pricing.md) for this tool's price. A wallet (x402) call receives it in the 402 quote before anything is charged; a call paid from prepaid credits is charged when the API accepts the request and answers `200`.

## Notes

* Use it to check whether hail, a damaging gust or a tornado was reported near a property, a claim site or a route stop in the last day or three.
* Give a point (`latitude`, `longitude`, with `radius_km` 1 to 250, default 25) or a `state` (two-letter code), not both.
* `hours` is 24, 48 or 72 (default 24). `types` narrows to `hail`, `wind` or `tornado`; default all three.
* `magnitude` is hail size in inches or wind speed in mph (`magnitude_units` says which); damage and tornado reports carry no magnitude.
* `location` is the source's short place text, cut at 23 characters. `truncated` true means more reports matched than `limit`.
* A point or state with nothing reported is a completed result with `total` 0.
* Results return inline. The finished job stays available at `/v1/requests/{request_id}`
