Notes

  • Each program count is a count of facilities; a facility can be in several programs. Superfund sites are listed but not counted in by_program: the source gives no Superfund total.
  • Use order: superfund to bring Superfund sites first, or order: toxic_releases for the largest combined on-site releases and off-site transfers. Brownfields are not covered.
  • A county search matches recorded county or coordinates, so a few facilities may be recorded under another county name.
  • An area too large for one search is refused: use a point with a smaller radius or a ZIP code.
  • Counts and total penalties cover every matched facility, including those beyond limit. Programs refresh weekly; current state and five-year enforcement counts are provided, with no source history.
  • Results return inline. The finished job stays available at /v1/requests/{request_id}
