Notes

  • Use it to check whether hail, a damaging gust or a tornado was reported near a property, a claim site or a route stop in the last day or three.
  • Give a point (latitude, longitude, with radius_km 1 to 250, default 25) or a state (two-letter code), not both.
  • hours is 24, 48 or 72 (default 24). types narrows to hail, wind or tornado; default all three.
  • magnitude is hail size in inches or wind speed in mph (magnitude_units says which); damage and tornado reports carry no magnitude.
  • location is the source’s short place text, cut at 23 characters. truncated true means more reports matched than limit.
  • A point or state with nothing reported is a completed result with total 0.
  • Results return inline. The finished job stays available at /v1/requests/{request_id}
