POST
List the wildfires currently burning within a distance of a point, given its latitude and longitude. Use it to check fire activity around a property, a facility or a route stop. Fires are returned largest first, each with its name, size in acres, the percent contained (null when the source states none), the date it was discovered (YYYY-MM-DD, UTC), and its state and county. radius_km sets the distance (1 to 200, default 50) and limit the most returned (1 to 25, default 10); more is true when the source held more fires in range than were returned. Covers current wildfire perimeters in the United States. A point with no fire in range is a completed result with an empty list; that means no published perimeter matched, not that no fire is near: a new fire may not have a perimeter yet.
